- How long does it take to straighten my teeth with Invisalign? Each smile is unique, so treatment lengths vary depending on the complexity of your needs and how diligent you are about wearing your aligners.
Generally speaking, most people complete their treatment in about 12 months, sometimes less. More complex cases may be up to 18 months.
The great news is that you’ll begin to see results within just a few weeks of wearing your Invisalign aligners! Most patients are thrilled to watch the progress of their smile as it transforms.
- How many hours a day do I need to wear my aligners? The Invisalign aligner trays must be worn for a minimum of 20 hours a day to get the best results and ensure a speedy treatment time. Ideally, you’ll only remove them briefly when you need to eat or clean your teeth.
- Will I need retainers when I am finished?Wearing a retainer is a great way to protect your Invisalign investment, preventing your teeth from gradually shifting back to their old positions.
We recommend wearing a retainer when you sleep to maintain your straight smile. We’ll discuss options with you and make more specific recommendations when you come in for a consultation.
