Case Study 17

This patient presented to our office knowing she was in need of some dental work.  She had a history of acid erosion as well as a bite dysfunction that caused her to grind and wear her teeth.  She had a job that put her in front of a lot of people and she wanted her smile to “POP and SHINE.”

step ONE

When we need to build a patient's bite up, it takes some time to nail down the right functional bite. We began with restoring the upper arch. The patient was in temporaries on her upper arch only. Once the upper arch was complete we then finished with the lower arch.

Because of previous dysfunction this patient will be placed in occlusal guards at night.  The areas once affected by acid (reflux/heartburn) are now covered in porcelain, which is an acid resistant material.

Her smile is now stunning and really pops and shines!
